These guidebooks outline the five steps in the Roots & Shoots process for taking action:

    1) Starting your group

    2) Identifying and researching an issue in your community that interests your group
    3) Selecting a project to address the issue

    5) Reflecting on what you have accomplished, celebrating and preparing for your next project

This guidebook is designed to help youth who are interested in starting a Roots & Shoots group.


Roots & Shoots in Schools (Download)

This guidebook is primarily for teachers who either want to run a Roots & Shoots group in
their classrooms or as an extra-curricular club.

Roots & Shoots in the Community (Download)

This guidebook is for individuals who either already work with young

people in the community in some capacity.
