Fundraise

Through JGI Canada's Sustainable Livelihoods Project, Roots & Shoots groups in Canada can fundraise to help provide new wells and protect springs - reducing the pressure on local rivers in Western Uganda. In the long run - our approach helps people and it helps chimpanzees too.

GET INVOLVED

There are two ways to take part in Drop of Hope:

•  By purchasing Roots & Shoots stainless steel water bottles. Pay a small deposit to receive a shipment of bottles, then sell and return the proceeds to JGI Canada Africa Programs. Not only will you help bring clean water to over 700 Ugandan households, you'll also help the environment by reducing plastic water bottle consumption.

•  By holding a fundraiser in your school or community. Organize a water-themed trivia night or a "5 Days of Drought Challenge" and send the proceeds to JGI Canada Africa Programs. Visit Get to Work to find ideas for your next fundraising project.
