Project Blue is teaming up with “Drop of Hope: Water for the World”, the Roots & Shoots water campaign in the U.S.!

Similar to Project Blue, Drop of Hope is a global water-themed youth campaign aimed at increasing awareness about water use while combating two major issues:

The lack of clean accessible drinking water in developing countries
The environmental problems caused by the excessive use of disposable plastic water bottles

Through Drop of Hope, Roots & Shoots groups in Canada and the U.S. will fundraise to support the provision of water cisterns to several schools in the Kigoma region of Tanzania.

GET INVOLVED

There are two ways to take part in Drop of Hope:

By purchasing Roots & Shoots stainless steel water bottles. Pay a small deposit to receive a shipment of bottles, then sell and return the proceeds to JGI Canada. Not only will you help bring clean water to Tanzanian school- children, you'll also help the environment by reducing plastic water bottle consumption.

By holding a fundraiser in your school or community. Organize a water-themed trivia night or a "5 Days of Drought Challenge" and send the proceeds to JGI Canada. Visit Get to Work to find ideas for your next fundraising project.
