Director, Development

The Director of Development is accountable for the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada’s fundraising objectives and fostering excellent donor relations. The Director manages the Development Department staff and provides guidance and direction to carry out fundraising activities, aligned with the Jane Goodall Institute’s strategic goals and priorities.

The Director oversees the implementation of the fundraising strategy with a clear work plan, and monitors and evaluates fundraising targets and KPIs to ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability. As a key member of the Leadership Team, this position will collaborate with the CEO and other Directors to support the organization’s overall strategic approaches and operations.

Database Manager – Maternity Contract Position (16 Months)

The Database Manager is a key member of the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada and supports the achievement of fundraising goals and revenue targets. In addition, the role provides support to other
parts of business utilising Salesforce to achieve program objectives.

Reporting to the Director of Development, the position’s primary role is to oversee all aspects of the
Institute’s database system and to lead the strategic use of online tools, to drive fundraising revenue for
the organization. The position will also support the overall fundraising implementation plan as needed.
