Corinne Caldwell

Corinne Caldwell is the Chief Operating Officer with the BC Real Estate Association. Corinne has received the Chartered Director designation and volunteers as a finance committee member, facilitator and coach with several organizations. Corinne is passionate about the conservation of wildlife and has traveled the world to see animals in their natural habitat. Corinne sits on the Executive Committee and the Audit & Finance Committee.

Billy Pratt

Billy Pratt is an inspirational and transformational charity leader with a drive for excellence and inclusion that engages others in the pursuit of being better for the world. His professional and volunteer experiences come from international development, homelessness, community corrections, health and social services. Professionally, he serves as the CEO for Eden Care Communities, one of Saskatchewan’s largest charities. As a volunteer, he currently serves on the board of directors for the Kids Brain Health Network, the Kids Brain Health Foundation, is a member of the Public Advisory Committee for the Health Data Research Network of Canada, and is a volunteer coach of the Not-for-Team that competes for the Hill School of Business at the University of Regina in the JDC West Competition. He has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and was a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) for 15 years.

Laura Couvrette

Laura is a Chartered Professional Accountant and nature enthusiast at heart, who lives and works in Toronto as Chief Financial Officer at Generation Capital.  When she is not working, she is happiest when she is able to combine her favourite activities together: spending time with her family, running, and traveling. Laura is also a member of the Governance & Nominating Committee.

Nalini Bhargava

Nalini Bhargava is the Chief Financial Officer of Ontario Real Estate Association and manages a business consulting service. As a CPA, CA she has extensive experience in leading corporations through strategic planning, major growth and expansion, downsizing, internal restructuring, and transformation to fully digital financial transactions. Nalini is actively involved in community service with a not-for-profit organization providing specialized education to adults, and fundraising to provide education and the healthcare needs of children. In her spare time, she takes time off to climb mountains in Tibet, Hawaii, and the sunny coast of California.

Brent Cape

Brent is a Chartered Professional Accountant and serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Norima Consulting, a mid-sized IT consultancy. With years of experience in the field, Brent has established himself as a knowledgeable and dedicated professional. Outside of work, Brent enjoys spending time with his family, chasing his young daughter around their Montreal suburb. He is also an avid cyclist who enjoys exploring new territories and challenging routes. Additionally, Brent has a passion for travel, having visited many countries around the globe, and loves to immerse himself in different cultures and experiences.

Chloë Chang

Chloë Chang is a young trailblazer currently studying Wildlife Conservation and Agriculture at the University of Guelph. Through her studies, Chloë is working to align local agriculture and all of its complexities with ecologically-driven land management based on sustainable development for people and the planet. As a BIPOC, neurodivergent, and queer individual, she also hopes to increase the representation of these marginal groups in this field. In her spare time, Chloë has inspired youth to connect with our planet and become leaders in STEM as a JGIC Youth Advisory Council member, Co-President of UoGuelph’s Wildlife Club, mentor of a FIRST robotics team, wildlife rehabber, and more.

Kevin Dunbar

Kevin is a non-profit leader with over 15 years experience empowering teams to achieve positive organizational and social change. His roles reflect his commitment to address some of the world’s most complex issues. Kevin has led teams to deliver large scale humanitarian responses, grow international development programs in over 20 countries, and support Canadian Indigenous community-led programs on food sovereignty and ecological sustainability. His expertise includes supporting organizations and communities to navigate the emerging opportunities and risks of digital transformation. Kevin has worked for a range of organizations, including Feed The Children, CARE Canada, Save the Children and the SecDev Foundation. He is currently the Executive Director for the Green Party of Canada. He has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria, and a Masters in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University.

Gilles LeVasseur

J.L. Gilles LeVasseur, O.Ont, LLD, LSM, CD is a professor of management and law at the University of Ottawa and has garnered an impressive portfolio of achievements in a wide range of fields in both private and public sectors. He served as an officer in the Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Canadian Armed Forces, with previous experience as a finance officer in the Logistics Branch. His contributions to Canadian society and the governance of associations have garnered him 44 prestigious awards, including the Order of Ontario, the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals, the rank of Commander of the Order of La Pléiade, an honorary doctorate, the Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Award, the Senate 150th Medal, seven fellowships, and the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers.

Karen McCarthy

Karen is SVP, Associate General Counsel & Secretary at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, where she provides securities, regulatory, and environmental, social and corporate governance advice to senior management and the RBC board. Prior to that, she was senior counsel at a large technology company and began her legal career at a leading Canadian law firm. Karen has travelled extensively through Africa and cares about wildlife conservation. She is a member of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors and the U.S. National Association of Corporate Directors.

Rick Quinn

He/Him

Dr. Rick Quinn, a veterinary ophthalmologist, has lectured internationally and is the author of Just Like Us — a Veterinarian’s Visual Memoir of Our Vanishing Great Ape Relatives. The Founding Director of Docs4GreatApes, Rick is passionate about humanitarian, conservation, and social justice issues in developing countries and a strong proponent of the One Health approach to attain optimal health for people, animals, and the environment. Rick is a Board Member on JGI’s Global Board.
