Join the iconic conservationist in person and help us celebrate 90 years of hope and action. Proceeds from all ticket sales go directly to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, a charitable organization dedicated to community-centred conservation programs that address the convergence of climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental inequity. Special Guest Host: Amanda Brugel Amanda Brugel is one of Canada’s most respected actors, known internationally for her dynamic range and critically acclaimed roles in The Handmaid’s Tale, Kim’s Convenience, and Workin’ Moms. Brugel has garnered numerous accolades for both her dramatic and comedic work, including three Canadian Screen Awards, an Outstanding Performance ACTRA Award, and four Screen Actors Guild nominations. Currently she can be seen in Dark Matter, opposite Jennifer Connelly, as well as Parish, opposite Giancarlo Esposito. In 2022, Brugel co-wrote, produced and starred in the feature film Ashgrove, which premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival and won Best Ensemble at the Canadian Film Festival. In 2023, she appeared in Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool, opposite Alexander Skarsgård. Her upcoming films include Dancing On The Elephant, Sweetness, and Ballistic, alongside Lena Headey. In 2013, Brugel launched Brugs Army, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and children by raising funds for existing charities, hospitals, and shelters. Brugs Army has raised over $100,000 for institutions such as Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter, and Sick Kids Children’s Hospital.
