We want to expand upon our outdoor learning/native plant garden by creating additional seating under a very large old tree.  The students will sit on two pic-nic tables that will be bought and then painted by them.  The designs on the table will discuss the students view of the environment and their wishes.  Pea gravel will be brought in as ground cover to stop the soil from blowing up.

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots

Do great things in your community.

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots began in 1991 when Dr. Jane met with 12 Tanzanian high school students who wanted to tackle urgent problems in their community. Since that meeting, Roots & Shoots groups have multiplied many times over and can now be found in nearly 100 countries around the world. Wherever there’s a group, young people are making change that benefits animals, people and the environment.
