Tower Garden Project

Map pinAurora , Ontario

My high school Autism Community Classroom has been growing vegetables and plants for several years as well as maintaining the school gardens. This year our classroom would like to continue with and expand our growing season! We are excited to learn how to grow a variety of vegetables and plants in a sustainable way. We are interested in growing plants all year long in our classroom using a vertical Growing Tower which uses only a little water, nutrients and rockwool to grow plants, no soil is required.

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots

Do great things in your community.

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots began in 1991 when Dr. Jane met with 12 Tanzanian high school students who wanted to tackle urgent problems in their community. Since that meeting, Roots & Shoots groups have multiplied many times over and can now be found in nearly 100 countries around the world. Wherever there’s a group, young people are making change that benefits animals, people and the environment.
