At the Jane Goodall Institute’s Tchimpounga Sanctuary, more than 150 chimpanzees have found a safe place to call home — and been given the second chance they deserve. But there are more who need our help.
As threats from habitat loss and poaching intensify, the need for our expert care grows. The illegal and brutal wildlife trade alone claims the lives of an estimated 3,000 chimpanzees each year. You can help make sure we never have to turn away a chimpanzee in need.

- Building a chimpanzee’s future: providing individualized care, food, and supplies to chimpanzees who have been orphaned or injured by the illegal wildlife trade.
- Protecting wildlife and their habitats: advance life-saving programs, like forest monitoring that reduce illegal trading and preserve vital corridors.
- Creating a better planet for all beings: supporting community-led conservation initiatives in both Canada and Africa — which ensure community members and leaders have the tools they need to tackle local environmental challenges.
