Get Inspired

The “Make a Difference” video is one of Dr. Jane’s favourite ways of helping audiences get inspired and stay hopeful. Take a look here – and you’ll understand why!

For exclusive behind-the-scenes content from tonight’s event, follow us on social media. We’d love to see the view from your seat, too – so make sure you tag us in any of the photos and videos you post this evening!

4 Ways You Can Make a Difference Now

  • Plant, restore, and protect trees within your community – and make your neighbourhood more “green” with our new Regreening Guide. Take the Jane’s Green Hope pledge to get the guide.
  • Join The Forest is Calling campaign and pledge to recycle your devices when it’s time. This helps protect critical habitat for chimpanzees, because it reduces demand for materials gathered through illegal mining.
  • Gather young leaders and create a Roots & Shoots project. Roots & Shoots is an internationally-recognized youth leadership program, where young leaders work together on projects to address climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental inequity.
  • Become a Chimp Guardian. By joining this program and symbolically adopting a chimpanzee, you’re helping care for the injured and orphaned chimpanzees at the Jane Goodall Institute’s Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre.

Join Team Goodall

Join Team Goodall and become a monthly donor today! For the same cost as a subscription to a streaming service, you can help us take meaningful action.

Monthly giving is the simplest way you can make a difference, all year long. You’ll receive our exclusive Tchimpounga reports, and you can access paperless tax receipts or switch credit cards easily with our donor portal.

All new monthly donors who join through this page will be sent a recording of a soundscape from Gombe – the same sounds you heard when finding your seat this evening. You’ll be able to transport yourself to the wild, wonderful forests of Gombe Stream National Park whenever you’d like!

Jane's Legacy in Action

Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre

For more than 30 years, the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre has been an essential sanctuary for hundreds of rescued chimpanzees. Today, more than 150 chimpanzees are being cared for by professionals – and getting the second chance they deserve.

Conservation and Sustainable Management of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems

In the coastal regions of Kenya and Tanzania, thousands of community members are working to protect and conserve coastal and marine ecosystems with sustainable solutions. Together with partners, we’re supporting this important work.

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots

Roots & Shoots helps youth harness their energy and supports the development of service projects that address climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental inequity. In Canada, more than 12,000 young people are actively involved in these projects each year.
