Even in the darkest times,
we can create a brighter future
In this period of uncertainty and hardship, and indeed because of it, we’re more committed than ever to fulfil our mission. We are building contingencies and increased protocols to protect the chimpanzees at Gombe and Tchimpounga. In Africa we’re supporting local communities and in Canada, Roots & Shoots participants. We are making sure that there is still room for hope in this challenging time.
What we’re doing now to protect animals, people and the environment:
The Jane Goodall Institute has been monitoring the spread of COVID-19 as it advances across the globe and our hearts are with everyone affected by the virus. Our top priority as an organization is to act immediately to protect great apes and the communities we work with from the increased risk of the virus. As we respond to this growing threat, your emergency donation will be used to address the most urgent needs, including testing kits, additional medical and veterinary supplies, and food for the chimpanzees at our sanctuaries. Your support will protect chimpanzees and assist local communities in Africa today to help ensure a brighter future for all.
*If you are not located in Canada, please find a JGI office in your area.
