Chimp Guardian: Perrine - Jane Goodall

Adopt Perrine!

Help care for the orphaned chimpanzees at the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo with a symbolic adoption.

Perrine weighed less than 5lbs when she arrived at the Jane Goodall Institute’s Tchimpounga Sanctuary. She was brought to the Tchimpounga Sanctuary orphaned, in critical condition. The Tchimpounga vets performed a blood transfusion — one of only two known successful chimpanzee-to-chimpanzee blood transfusions ever performed in Africa. Perrine survived. After weeks spent in recovery, Perrine was feeling better. But she was lonely.  In need of a friend, Tchimpounga staff introduced her to Zeze. Another orphaned chimp. They are now inseparable.

Your symbolic adoption of Perrine is a gift of new beginnings to the Tchimpounga chimpanzees, ensuring the Sanctuary will remain a safe haven for years to come.

Maximize your impact by choosing a digital adoption. Digital adoptions do not include a plush toy.
