The kids will start seedlings inside, transfer them to a greenhouse outside and promote gardening by distributing seedlings in the community and encourage families to start a garden of their own. Research indicates that land-based learning opportunities and other Indigenous ways of knowing have a significant impact on student’s wellbeing, sense of self and fosters a respectful relationships with the Earth.
