A.P.E. Fund Chase Pollinator Project Chase, BC, British Columbia The goal of this project is to create safe habitat and food sources for local pollinators. We will set up a small food forest and two community pollinator gardens. We will offer many opportunities to educate community members on both the importance of pollinators and how to care for them. They identified a need to learn the Cree, Ojibwe, and Dene names for the plants in our park, as well as plant more of the native species. They are now seeking Indigenous language learning indoors and out! It will allow youth consider climate change, loss of biodiversity, and environmental inequity through Indigenous lenses and wisdom, and reflect on their responses.
