We identified that a big need in our community is food insecurity. We realized that many students at our school are currently accessing food banks. After researching, we learned microgreens are nutrient dense, easy to grow and could be a great source of fresh vegetables. We plan to grow our own! View project Biodiversity Loss (Animals) Taking Action for Cats and Birds The students have recognized the need to support animals in our community, in particular cats and birds. We are collaborating with another class in our school to raise funds and awareness to support local rescue organizations such as the Humane Society and K9 Advocates Manitoba.
