We hope to deepen the students’, and our communities, understanding of our local ecosystem, its history, biodiversity and how to be an environmental steward. The unit would use “The Snowshoe” as the integrated context for learning. Past and present wisdom and food practices can teach us how to cultivate diverse food ecosystems for the present and the future. So much rich learning can happen in the garden and the lessons learned in the school garden can be carried home to make a more sustainable community. View project
