Fund Miyawaki Forest Project Peterborough/Anishinaabe, Ontario The Miyawaki Forest project engages youth in planning and planting a Miyawaki forest, a complex multilayer forest within a rich organic soil. Indigenous knowledge is combined with innovative forest techniques to re-establish native biodiversity and combat climate change. We have started some crops, but we do not have funds to continue on for this next year. We plan to use the funds to purchase seeds, berry bushes, and a load of soil to fill our beds. Students will work alongside Parks Canada staff to monitor the salmon population. View project
