A.P.E. Fund Plants as Medicine: examining connections between humans and the land Oak Lake, Manitoba Grade 8 students will examine cultural connections between people and plants, including the traditional and medicinal uses of some plants by Indigenous groups. They will learn about biodiversity and how important it is to ensure native plants are a part of the ecosystem. We will be creating kits of supplies that we can donate to local shelters, especially ones that provide services to women, children and families experiencing homelessness.
