A.P.E. Fund Saving Our Wetlands Winnipeg, Manitoba Students will learn about the various biomes in Manitoba with a focus on wetlands. They will learn about the importance of wetlands and how the loss of wetlands affects animals and humans. Students will spread awareness about how our actions can impact the environment. Starting in early 2023, students from universities in different countries will implement initiatives of their design and build the Sprouts website as part of our pilot project. Our youngest students will learn about how important bees, butterflies and other pollinators are! They will use their knowledge to teach the rest of the school why they should consider helping them with their project and planting flowers at their own homes. We have started some crops, but we do not have funds to continue on for this next year. We plan to use the funds to purchase seeds, berry bushes, and a load of soil to fill our beds. View project
