A.P.E. Fund St. Bonaventure’s College Bee Hive St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador St. Bonaventure has taken on the initiative of starting a school bee hive for their school garden to help with pollination and as an educational took for experiential learning. They are trying to bring experiential learning back for their students after such a long hiatus and promote a healthy bee community. Youth will prepare, plant, monitor, harvest and deliver produce from the garden to local food shelters, and local families. They will learn how queerness is abundant in ecology while restoring a degrading meadow, stewarding native plants, & increasing urban frog, bat & bird populations. View project Biodiversity Loss (Animals), Climate Change (Environment) Bring back the Bees Students will beautify school grounds and the city by planting plants that attract bees (and butterflies). They will partner with a local organaization to arrange a free bus to take us to the planting sites. They will plant trees/shrubs that will grow for years to come and rely on local experts for support. View project
