Fund The Bird Safe Community Project Guelph, Ontario Bird Safe Guelph will work with the University of the Guelph and the Guelph community to educate and inspire action toward local bird conservation. This project will gather a community together for the second annual Guelph Bird Day, to celebrate, learn about, and protect our community’s birds. They identified a need to learn the Cree, Ojibwe, and Dene names for the plants in our park, as well as plant more of the native species. They are now seeking Indigenous language learning indoors and out! One major idea they have to to revive our “Living Wall” that exists in the foyer with more sustainable & biodiverse plants. These Enviro-leaders are being the change daily. We have started some crops, but we do not have funds to continue on for this next year. We plan to use the funds to purchase seeds, berry bushes, and a load of soil to fill our beds. View project
