Fund Yennadon Legacy Progect Maple Ridge,, British Columbia Our Yennadon Legacy project is to create an area for our Indigenous students, staff, community, and community Elders to come and revive Pow Wow dancing. We plan on creating a dance area to practice and enjoy Pow Wow dancing. We will be sewing and making Regalia for our students to dance in. Food is life. Nature fosters wellness. The food we eat and time in nature have a powerful impact on our health and wellbeing. Our project will focus on organizing a hands-on community event to teach families about farm to table meals and how to explore nature as a form of healing and wellness. View project Biodiversity Loss (Animals), Environmental Inequity (People) Cedar Mulch Replacement The grade 5 class will replace the cedar mulch in the area that connects our outdoor classroom and forested walkway. View project Environmental Inequity (People) Helping hands Room 36 is interested in helping out the community of “unsheltered” people living in and around Winnipeg. We will be creating kits of supplies that we can donate to local shelters, especially ones that provide services to women, children and families experiencing homelessness. View project
