April 25, 2024 Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas – Helpful Links Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) are areas of land or water that are managed and conserved by Indigenous communities for the purpose of protecting biodiversity, ecosystems, and cultural heritage. These areas are recognized for their importance in conserving biological diversity and maintaining traditional Indigenous ways of life.
