Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) are areas of land or water that are managed and conserved by Indigenous communities for the purpose of protecting biodiversity, ecosystems, and cultural heritage. These areas are recognized for their importance in conserving biological diversity and maintaining traditional Indigenous ways of life.

Our 2024 Youth Advisory Council designed a social media series to educate our community about IPCAs. These are the links they have compiled to help you take action. Visit our social media @janegoodallcan to see the whole series.
